I found Pearl Cleage to be an inspiring author and human being. She touched us all with her words of wisdom as she read her magnificent centerpiece poem "We Speak Your Names." As she read her poem to us, her voice was soothing,relaxing, and included a certain melonic rhythmic tone that made us feel like we were floating on a white fluffy cloud.I could envision my self being a part of the celebration she spoke of. The celebration of womenhood, freedom, and peace. Thank you Pearl Cleage for reaffirming my soul.
